Archie Watson targets Woodbine Grade 1 with Corinthia Knight
Upper Lambourn trainer Archie Watson is planning another audacious tilt at a top race in North America with his star sprinter Corinthia Knight.
The Highlander, a $250,000 sprint upgraded to a Grade 1 on the prestigious Queen's Plate card at Woodbine on June 30, has been earmarked by Watson as part of his plans for a Breeders' Cup return in the autumn.
"I entered him in the race yesterday and it's a 'win and you're in' race for the Breeders' Cup," said Watson, speaking at Sandown on Friday.
"And I'd like to look at the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint at Churchill Downs around a bend which suits Corinthia Knight."

He continued: "It's very exciting and with the Americans coming for Royal Ascot next week, we are going the other way while they are away!
"As a three-year-old, he will also get a good weight allowance in the race."
The Society Rock colt did not let the team down on the Breeders' Cup undercard at Del Mar last autumn, finishing fourth to Declarationofpeace in the Listed Juvenile Turf Sprint.
Corinthia Knight racked up a four-timer back in Britain, winning the all-weather three-year-old championship conditions race over 6f at Lingfield on Good Friday to complete his winning spree.
However, last time out in May he was a well-beaten favourite in the Group 3 Prix Texanita at Maisons-Laffitte, finishing ninth under Alexis Badel.
