Having got off the mark on Dundalk's Polytrack surface last time out, Alhajjaj and Edification return to the track where they both won handicaps over the course and trip on the same card four weeks ago.

The Mark Fahey-trained Edification, who won a nursery for Martyn Meade four years ago, has gone up 6lb after squeezing through to record a head victory.

Fahey said: "Edification would have been an unlucky loser last time, but he's tricky and has to be ridden that way. This is a better race but he's in good form andConor [Hoban] gets a good tune from him."

Alhajjaj, a winner at Wolverhampton for Andrew Balding two years ago, stepped up on his previous efforts in Ireland when scoring by four and three-quarter lengths last month and the Anthony McCann-trained six-year-old races off an 11lb higher mark here with Donagh O'Connor claiming 5lb.

There are four other course-and-distance winners in the line-up headed by topweight Spruce Meadows, who is without a win since August 2017, Carried, who wears cheekpieces for the first time and Sheisdiesel, who beat the reopposing nine-time course winner Reckless Lad, last time out.

Jim Bolger, who sent two out winners at the track a week ago, is represented by Gasta who returns from a 114-day absence having run third over a mile when trying Polytrack for the first time in October.
