Albany Stakes runner-up Celtic Beauty is on a collision course with her Royal Ascot conqueror Daahyeh in the Group 2 Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket on Friday.

Celtic Beauty was beaten by one and a half lengths at Royal Ascot but trainer Ken Condon is hopeful a greater emphasis on speed will suit the daughter of No Nay Never.

Condon said: "We were delighted with Celtic Beauty’s run in the Albany. She came out of the race well and is all set for Friday.

"She is still a maiden after three runs but has been running to a good level and tthe easier six furlongs of the July course might help her as she is a very pacy filly."

Romanised, another member of Condon’s team, also performed well at Royal Ascot where he met trouble in running before keeping on well for fourth in the Queen Anne Stakes. Last year’s Irish 2,000 Guineas winner has next month's Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville as his next Group 1 target.

Condon said: "The Marois is the plan for Romanised but we’re going to take in the Group 2 Minstrel Stakes over seven furlongs at the Curragh a week on Saturday on the way.

"He will have no penalty to carry and the race fits nicely into his programme. He worked this morning and everything went smoothly. He’ll work again early next week."
