Ladbrokes Trophy hope Ms Parfois to be entered in Gold Cup and Grand National

Ms Parfois, who finished second at both the Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National meeting last season, will be given some ambitious entries as owner Martyn Chapman eyes another big campaign for his progressive mare.

The Anthony Honeyball-trained seven-year-old, the first horse Chapman has owned, won three times last season before she was narrowly beaten by Rathvinden in the four-mile National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham. She then found only Terrefort too good in Grade 1 company at Aintree.

"She had a small wind op in August and she has been fabulous," said Chapman. "She will have an entry in the Grand National and the Gold Cup so she is there if it comes up heavy but I think her main target would be the Ladbrokes Trophy.
