Ladbrokes chief executive Jim Mullen: Goodwood and York both 'painful' meetings

Racing results at York's Ebor meeting were so good for punters it might once have put Ladbrokes in a "precarious" position, chief executive Jim Mullen said on Tuesday.

However, as he unveiled what is set to be the bookmaker's final trading statement before their merger with Coral, Mullen said the company was now more resilient.

For the three months to the end of September Ladbrokes were able to report revenue growth of 12.1 per cent.
