Labrokes promise to lay bets to lose at least €5,000 on showcase races

Ladbrokes will lay bets to lose at least €5,000 in their shops across Ireland during the inaugural Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown this weekend.

The guarantee will apply to the 12 races shown live on RTE over the two-day meeting and applies to the win part of bets only, although each-way bets will be laid at the the bookmaker's discretion.

Nicola McGeady, spokeswoman for Ladbrokes, said: "The inaugural Dublin Racing Festival is one of the biggest highlights on the racing calendar, so we've decided there's no better time to offer this guarantee.

"We're guaranteeing our customers we'll lay bets to lose at least €5,000. It's a pledge which shows we're happy to lay the bigger bets to lose larger amounts during what we expect to be one of the busiest weekends of the racing year."

She added: "Punters looking to place larger bets during the two-day festival can now be assured Ladbrokes is the place to go."
