Baaeed was not in action in Paris but remains top of the Cartier Horse of the Year standings after second-placed Kyprios strengthened his domination of the Stayers category with a remarkable 20-length win in Sunday's Prix du Cadran.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained four-year-old moved on to 152 points after his fourth straight Group 1 victory at Longchamp, closing to within 24 points of Baaeed (176).

Baaeed's connections chose not to pursue the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe but their unbeaten star will have the chance to respond in the Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot on October 15.

The Arc went the way of Alpinista (112) and the Sir Mark Prescott-trained mare shot to fourth on the Horse of the Year list after her sixth consecutive Group 1 win. The horse she conquered at Longchamp, Vadeni, is third (124).

There was little movement at the top of the Sprinter category but The Platinum Queen (48), who toughed it out to win the Prix de l'Abbaye, moved into joint-third with Naval Crown behind Highfield Princess (112) and Minzaal (60).

Kinross (74) was a dominant winner of the Prix de la Foret and moved up to fifth in the Older Horse table, while Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere scorer Belbek (40) shares third in the Two-Year Old Colt division behind Blackbeard (96) and Persian Force (64).

The Three-Year-Old fillies are still headed by Inspiral (96), but Nashwa moved to within four points after her narrow second to Place Du Carrousel (56) in the Prix de l'Opera, while Prix Marcel Boussac winner Blue Rose Cen (40) installed herself as fourth in the Two-Year-Old Filly division behind leader Meditate (64).
