Anthony Knott, who was banned from racing for passing inside information on one of his horses, is hoping to have his three-year disqualification quashed.

Knott's is believed to be one of seven cases highlighted by a review commissioned by the BHA after disciplinary panel member Matthew Lohn, a solicitor, was revealed to have separately worked as an adviser for the BHA since October 2013 raising a legal question of apparent bias.

Knott, whose case was heard in front of a panel chaired by Lohn in November 2014, said yesterday: "Hopefully it will get sorted out. My heart is still in racing and whenever my ban ends I will be back.
