Women In Racing is to hold its annual general meeting in the high-profile surroundings of the opening day of the Dante meeting at York on May 17.

The AGM, which is in its sixth year, will also mark the launch of the findings from the first ever research into diversity in British horseracing.

Entitled Women’s Representation and Diversity in the Horseracing Industry, the research has been funded by The Racing Foundation and carried out by the Centre for Diversity Policy Research and Practice at Oxford Brookes University in partnership with Women in Racing.

Chairwoman Julie Deadman said: “We really look forward to welcoming members and non-members to our AGM for what will be an important day for Women in Racing, and the sport as a whole, with the launch of the diversity research.

"We would like to thank the team at York for generously hosting us and allowing us to be part of a wonderful day of racing. We would encourage people wanting to attend to book their place as availability is limited.”

Tickets to the event are £20 for Women in Racing members and £45 for non-members. Tickets must be booked in advance by May 10 via Eventbrite. Details can be found on the Women in Racing website and to book a place visit: https://goo.gl/eIF4Dm
