JP McManus swoops for Emmet Mullins-trained pair from Noble Yeats' connections

JP McManus has bought the Emmet Mullins-trained pair So Scottish and Filey Bay from Paul Byrne, the owner who sold Noble Yeats to Robert Waley-Cohen just a few months before his Grand National win.

So Scottish was last seen chasing home Boothill in the valuable Hurst Park Chase at Ascot in November after winning his previous three starts.

He is the 6-1 favourite with bet365 and William Hill for the Craft Irish Whiskey Co. Plate at the Cheltenham Festival, a race Byrne and Mullins won with The Shunter in 2021 before he was sold to McManus.
