Champion jump jockey Richard Johnson replaces Ryan Hatch on The New One in Saturday's International Hurdle after Hatch suffered an injury in a fall at Cheltenham on Friday.

Hatch walked into the ambulance after Cogry fell at the 15th fence in the Unicoin Group Handicap Chase but was later taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with a chest injury.

Carl Llewellyn, assistant to The New One's trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies, said: "At the moment, they are looking at possible damage to his sternum.

"He was originally going to Gloucestershire Royal, but he's now on his way to Bristol. I don't know much more than that, whether it is bruising or something else."

After a dry and mild day at Cheltenham the ground remains good (watered) but light rain is expected to fall on Saturday.

Clerk of the course Simon Claisse said: "We are not anticipating any change overnight but it is due to rain tomorrow through the afternoon from around midday. There could be up to 5mm."
