The Jockey Club has insisted there is nothing to read between the lines of group chief executive Delia Bushell's resignation as a director of Racecourse Media Group.

Bushell left the RMG board last month and will be replaced in meetings by Jockey Club group finance director Nevin Truesdale, who had previously acted as an alternate 'stand-in' officer, a role now being filled by Newmarket supremo Amy Starkey.

Bushell, who held senior positions with Sky and BT Sport before joining the Jockey Club, has quickly become a prominent industry figure since succeeding long-time predecessor Simon Bazalgette, not least by taking an active role in negotiations with ITV over a new three-year broadcast deal.
