Ballydoyle were out of luck in the Irish 2,000 Guineas yesterday and punters seem to think it will be a similar story in today's Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas (3.15), as comfortable trial winner Joan Of Arc has been on the drift.

The filly is a sister to two Classic winners in Gleneagles and Marvellous, but the market suggests she may not be able to emulate her siblings as she is now a 100-30 chance from 5-2 last night.

The daughter of Gutaifan finished third at Newmarket on her seasonal reappearance behind Mother Earth and Saffron Beach and is into 7-2 (from 9-2).
The going at the Curragh has eased to heavy on the straight course (from soft, yielding in places) and soft to heavy on the round course (from yielding to soft).
There is fresh ground on both tracks and the possibility of showers later on this afternoon.
