Jadoomi camp roll the dice for £70,000 to allow colt to take on Inspiral in QEII
The promise of rain at Ascot has prompted connections of Jadoomi to pay £70,000 and go for glory by supplementing him for the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (3.20) on Saturday.
The ground turned good to soft at Ascot on Monday and a band of rain is forecast to sweep across the south of England on Thursday. That will suit the Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum-owned four-year-old, who is unbeaten this season with all three wins coming with ease in the ground.
James Doyle takes over on the Holy Roman Emperor colt from Christophe Soumillon, who rode Jadoomi to victory at Leopardstown last time but begins a 60-day suspension on Friday for elbowing fellow jockey Rossa Ryan out of the saddle during a race at Saint-Cloud at the end of last month.
