ITV Racing tips: one key runner from each of the seven races on ITV on Saturday

1.50 York
Sky Bet And Symphony Group Strensall Stakes, 1m1f

This race hasn't been won by a three-year-old since 2009 but four of this year's eight runners come from the Classic generation, including the favourite Mighty Ulysses and Alfaila, who was behind him at Newmarket last time.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Alflaila

Progressive three-year-old who finished well for a 1m Listed win at Pontefract; strong contender

2.05 Sandown
JRL Group Atalanta Stakes, 1m

Grande Dame beat Oscula easily in the Coral Distaff over this course and distance and that filly has since advertised the form by winning two Group 3s. This is a deeper race but the John and Thady Gosden-trained filly has a touch of class.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Grande Dame

It was a strong Listed race that she won with a good bit in hand here last time

2.25 York
Sky Bet Melrose Handicap, 1m6f

A typically competitive renewal of one of the season's most intriguing handicaps. Soulcombe caught the eye with a strong finishing effort at Glorious Goodwood so this extra two furlongs should play to his strengths. The Godolphin duo and the prolific Caius Chorister should be competitive.

SPOTLIGHT TIP:Soulcombe

Caught eye when strong-finishing fourth at Goodwood; more to come at 1m6f; bold show likely

2.40 Sandown
Fasig-Tipton Night Of The Stars Solario Stakes, 7f

The Queen won this race last year with Reach For The Moon and she could have a potential star on her hands with Desert Hero, who stretched away from his rivals on his debut at Haydock. Silver Knott and Defence Of Fort rate his biggest dangers.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Desert Hero

Impressed at Haydock and since entered for two Group 2s; promising

Sky Bet City of York Stakes, 7f

In many ways this race will be a rematch of the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood, where Sacred, Kinross and Pogo chased home Sandrine. Rohaan tries this trip for the first time in a while.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Rohaan

Strong-finishing fourth in the Prix Maurice de Gheest last time; interesting back at 7f

3.35 York
Sky Bet Ebor Handicap, 1m6f

The £500,000 feature has attracted a varied field. The long-time favourite Earl Of Tyrone's chances were boosted by Raise You recently and the Irish send a strong team including Okita Soushi, Licence and Ever Present. The William Haggas-trained pair Gaasee and Candleford also look as if they have more to offer in this sphere.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Earl Of Tyrone

A revelation; very hard to say that today's mark is the limit for this exciting prospect

4.10 York
Sky Bet Constantine Handicap, 6f

The top five from the Stewards' Cup renew rivalry here, with the third-placed horse from Goodwood, Regional, fancied to come out on top. Several in-form three-year-olds add a dollop of interest.
