Important to make sure we remember the good times
Needless to say Saturday is a day I'll never forget. We went from the highs of beating the Gold Cup favourite to the lows of losing the horse of a lifetime in Many Clouds.
It was a sad day, but it's important to make sure we remember the good times, of which there were plenty.
I've been overwhelmed by messages since the race – I've had more than even after the Grand National – and I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words and support.
I'd also like to thank Trevor Hemmings and Mick Meagher for sending me such a brilliant horse and urge everyone not to dwell on his death but celebrate his wonderful career.
And finally I'd like to thank Many Clouds, who, after all, has done most of the hard work. It's been a fantastic journey for me, my team and everyone associated with him.
