Watch from 6pm: the ultimate Cheltenham ante-post show Upping The Ante returns!
Your midweeks are about to get a whole lot tastier as Upping The Ante returns to a screen near you from 6pm on Tuesday, November 8.
The ante-post Cheltenham tipping show is bigger and better than ever before with regular host David Jennings set to be joined by a new special guest in the shape of legendary punter Johnny Dineen, who will be bringing his wit and wisdom to the show in what promises to be another terrific 20-show series.
The man who frightens the life out of bookmakers was a former racecourse bookie himself, standing in the Cheltenham ring for many years, but is now better known within the industry as one of the shrewdest judges in the game. He is a man that moves markets.
Dineen will bring a lifetime of punting experience to the revamped show, not to mention the requisite passion for those four days in the Cotswolds in March, and he will also write a Racing Post column that you can read every Saturday in the Racing Post.
Speaking about his move to Upping The Ante, Dineen said: "I'm delighted to be joining the show and cannot wait to get stuck into it.
"I'm a jump racing fanatic and wouldn't miss a race any day. I love the Cheltenham Festival and hopefully I will be able to find a few winners for viewers along the way. I won't be short of an opinion or two and I can assure you I will call it as I see it."
There will be a few changes to the show for the new series with some fresh segments adding even more punting insight.
Upping The Ante kicks off on Tuesday, November 8, and the first show of the brand new series will be live at 6pm. Set your alarms now. You won't want to miss it, especially since Johnny has promised that his first selection for the 2023 Cheltenham Festival is a very strong one. Tune in to find out who it is.
