Just Wonderful will attempt to live up to her name at the Curragh on Saturday after disappointing as favourite in the Albany at Royal Ascot.

Successful on debut here, the two-year-old will face five rivals in the Group 3 Jebel Ali Racecourse and Stables Anglesey Stakes (4.20), a race her trainer Aidan O'Brien has won 11 times.

O'Brien, who is also represented by Fantasy, said: "She was very green in the Albany and probably lacked the experience for such a race, but she's been in good form since and we're hoping for a good run."

He added: "Fantasy has been progressing through the season and won nicely at Navan last weekend."

The Mark Johnston-trained Marie's Diamond, dual winner and runner-up to Van Beethoven in the Group 2 Railways Stakes on Irish Derby weekend, again takes on Ballydoyle's juveniles.

Another winner in the field is the Ger Lyons-trained Viadera, who made a winning debut over the course last month.

Gee Rez, who finished eight in the Coventry Stakes, and Cruciatus, who ran third over seven furlongs on his debut at Naas, complete the field.

Second Irish outing for American colt

St Patrick's Day, a brother of US triple crown hero American Pharoah, makes his second start for Ballydoyle in the Group 2 Friarstown Stud Minstrel Stakes over seven furlongs (4.55).

Successful for Bob Baffert at Del Mar on his second outing last year, he ran third in the Listed Celebration Stakes over a mile at Leopardstown on his Irish debut last month.

"We were happy with his run at Leopardstown and we think he's progressed since," said O'Brien, who is also represented by Hence, who ran second in a Listed event at Killarney six days ago.

So Beloved and Larchmont Lad, second and third in the Group 3 Criterion Stakes at Newmarket last month, give David O'Meara a strong hand in the seven-runner event, as they attempt to end losing runs stretching back to 2016.
