Willie Mullins delivers key updates on Galopin Des Champs, Fact To File and more - as he declares himself 'pretty happy' despite disappointments

Galopin Des Champs has come out of his gallant reappearance in the Savills Chase in good shape according to Willie Mullins, who believes the lack of an end-to-end gallop at a sharp track like Kempton may have been to blame for Fact To File's below-par effort in the King George VI Chase.
Mullins, for once, had to take a back seat over the festive period at Leopardstown as Gordon Elliott led the Christmas charge with 13 winners at the south Dublin venue, and 18 in total over the four days, but the Closutton operation still managed to bank 11 winners.
Lossiemouth's victory in the December Hurdle on Monday ensured Mullins didn't leave Leopardstown without a Grade 1 either, and the champion trainer wasn't at all downbeat about his festive exploits.
