Envoi Allen is likely to be aimed at a spring campaign as Henry de Bromhead weighs up options for the prolific 11-year-old, whom he reports to have been in "mighty form" since he landed a memorable third Champion Chase at Down Royal last Saturday.

The hugely popular chaser notched his sixth victory at the track when putting in an awesome display to kick three and three-quarter lengths away from Affordale Fury under Darragh O'Keeffe.

After his success last year in the same race, Envoi Allen reappeared in the King George at Kempton, where he unseated five out, before finishing third behind Fact To File in the Ryanair Chase, a race he won in 2023 under the now-retired Rachael Blackmore.

While De Bromhead reports the Cheveley Park Stud-owned chaser to be in sparkling form, he is favouring a break with a view to spring targets.

"There's no plan as yet as I want to speak to the guys [Cheveley Park] and see," said De Bromhead. "I'd say we might aim for the spring, but I just want to confirm it with everyone and see.

"He's been in mighty form since Down Royal and I'm delighted with him. He looked good in winning. Maybe on ratings his win wasn't as high this year, but he did it in the best way he's ever done it."
