Wondermare Winx in great condition as she seeks 18th straight success

Randwick: Warwick Stakes (Group 2) | Turf | 3yo+ | ATR
Wondermare Winx continues on her relentless march towards greatness at Randwick on Saturday when she attempts to stretch her unbeaten record to 18 in the Warwick Stakes.
Winx, who last week won a barrier trial for the first time in her career, bids to claim back-to-back victories in the Group 2 and trainer Chris Waller believes she is slightly stronger than in previous years going into her reappearance.
"She's just so different and not knowing what to expect or how good she is, she just does things that you don't really see happening," said the trainer. "Saturday is a good pointer for all of us and she's exactly where we want her to be."
Winx, who will be dropping back in trip after winning the Group 1 Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes over 1m2f at the track in April, is set to face seven rivals in the Warwick Stakes, including Godolphin's Allergic and stablemates Antonio Giuseppe and Foxplay.
Victory for the daughter of Street Cry would extend one of the country's longest winning streaks, securing her place alongside 1930s marvel Ajax on 18 consecutive successes and leaving her behind only Black Caviar (25 wins), Gloaming and Desert Gold (19 wins each).
Winx was crowned New South Wales Horse of the Year for the second time on Thursday and remains odds-on favourite to land a record-equalling third consecutive Cox Plate in October.
