Winx will face ten rivals in Saturday's Group 1 Winx Stakes, including Godolphin's highly-rated Kementari, in a bid to record her 26th-consecutive victory and surpass the winning streak of the unbeaten Black Caviar.

While Winx will certainly start a long-odds-on favourite to win on Saturday, Racing.com's form expert Clint Hutchison believes Kementari is a more attractive betting option in the race.

"If Winx is going to be vulnerable, it is this weekend," Hutchison said to racing.com.

"She is first-up at 1400m [7f] , whereas Kementari has had the run.

"I'm of the opinion that if they are going to beat Winx, it will be this weekend, because she only gets stronger as the preparation goes on and the races get longer.

"If I was going to take short odds in the race, I'd prefer to back Kementari to place rather than Winx to win."

Winx's trainer Chris Waller will also be represented by Unforgotten, D'Argento, Libran and Religify in the $500,000 contest.

Kementari was a late nomination for the Winx Stakes on Tuesday and trainer James Cummings was only too happy to accept the challenge to tackle the world's highest-rated horse.

"We'd been considering running in this race for a long time," he said to racing.com.

"It's a natural progression for him where it sits, two weeks after the Missile Stakes and two weeks before the Memsie.

"He came through his first-up run in great order and in the end he was just training so well.

"His work on Tuesday morning was the best of any of ours, so we've got no hesitation running.

"We treat all the opposition with great respect. I personally have the greatest admiration for the mare, she is by Sheikh Mohammed's deceased stallion in Street Cry, but at the end of it Kementari is ready to run as well as he can second-up.

"It's just going to be a pleasure being part of a great day.

"The Group 1 Memsie at Caulfield is still an option for him but we will see how he comes through the run on Saturday."
