France Galop president Edouard de Rothschild described the new Longchamp as "a dream that has become reality" when unveiling the redeveloped course to the media on Thursday morning.

The course, rebranded as ParisLongchamp, will stage its first meeting since Golden Horn's Arc victory on Sunday, April 8, when the public will discover architect Dominique Perrault's new grandstand and paddock complex, while the grand reopening on April 29 will be marked with a special edition of the Prix Ganay worth €600,000.

Having spent €140 million on redeveloping its flagship racecourse, France Galop is keen to make use of the facility outside of the 38 racedays, while music will be a big feature during the eight
Thursday evening meetings staged between May and July aimed at an after-work crowd.

Rothschild said: "For those who love racing, ParisLongchamp is the dream that has become reality. For those who haven't been there, it will be a destination which is modern, elegant, connected and new. A place to take the air, to wander, to dine, of music, of discovery and to admire."
