Top mile races on the agenda for impressive Jimmy Two Times

Andre Fabre set Jimmy Two Times against some of Europe's top sprinters for most of last year but a fine finishing effort off a searing pace at the end of the Group 3 Prix Edmond Blanc confirmed he could be a serious threat over a mile this season.

Races like the Lockinge and the Queen Anne could be on the agenda after the son of Kendargent sprinted clear of his rivals under Vincent Cheminaud on his first start since finishing fourth to Limato in the Prix de la Foret last October.

"He has changed a lot mentally if not so much physically since last year and has been working well," said Andreas Putsch, in whose Haras de Saint Pair colours Jimmy Two Times runs. "We're delighted he stayed so well because that opens up a lot of options and next up he'll be on his travels. I was impressed by him today."

Dicton edged a blanket finish for second, showing he has recovered well from the exertions of a busy three-year-old career during which he was third in both the Poule d'Essai des Poulains and the Prix du Jockey Club.

Representing owner Robert Ng, Rupert Pritchard-Gordon said: "He has a chance of getting into the Champions Mile or the QEII in Hong Kong, which the boss would probably quite like, but we'll discuss it. Otherwise I think we'll look quite closely at the Lockinge because he ran very good races in the French Guineas and the Jacques le Marois over the straight mile."

Graffard optimistic for Listed winner

That Which Is Not carried plenty of hopes for the Niarchos family and Francis Graffard last season and the daughter of Elusive Quality more than justified the decision to race on at four when holding off Armande in the Listed Prix Zarkava over 1m2½f.

"She was quite cool early on today, which was no bad thing as she was going back up in trip slightly," said Graffard. "I've always thought a lot of her and I'm delighted she has got her Listed win."
