Cyberknife stole the headlines at Monmouth Park on Saturday as the Brad Cox-trained colt landed the Grade 1 Haskell Stakes in a record time.

Ridden by Florent Geroux, the Arkansas Derby winner completed the 1m1f circuit in a time of 1m 46.24s, getting the better of Bob Baffert's Taiba by a head.

"I have a lot of great memories here and this is the best horse I've ever had. It's his second Grade 1," said owner Al Gold, who races under the banner of Gold Square. "It's a special feeling. There are no words to describe it."

Cox added: "He has a very nice race record and if he continues to move forward, he'll be a contender for champion three-year-old."

"He has some work to do, but hopefully he'll be a horse that has his name in the hat at the end of the year. I'll think he can get the mile and a quarter."

The Chad Brown-trained Jack Christopher lost his unbeaten record when finishing third, but it was far from a bad afternoon for the trainer and jockey Flavien Prat as they combined with a four-timer.

The pair triumphed in the $400,000 Monmouth Cup, the $200,000 Matchmaker Stakes, the $400,000 Molly Pitcher Stakes and the $600,000 United Nations Stakes in consecutives races, the last-named Grade 1 contest won by Adhamo.
