Preakness hero War Of Will bids to bounce back from Belmont flop in Jim Dandy

Triple Crown form is in strong evidence as Preakness winner War Of Will, well beaten in the Belmont, looks to get back on track in the Jim Dandy against two rivals who finished ahead of him in that last leg.
Tacitus, who was third in the Kentucky Derby, was sent off favourite for the Belmont, finishing second to Sir Winston, with another Jim Dandy rival Tax back in fourth and War Of Will weakening into ninth.
Mark Casse, trainer of War Of Will, said: "He's good and he's ready. The best way to describe it is that he's in a good place. We're happy. A lot of times, a trainer will say, 'I wish I could have done this or that.' That's not the case here."
Bill Mott, trainer of Tacitus, has won the Jim Dandy four times and believes dropping in trip will be no issue for the three-year-old.
"He's good; he worked a couple of days ago and looked good this morning," said Mott. "His works have been very steady. They've been very similar to what they've been all spring. He's good going nine-to-ten furlongs. It looked like he could be good up to a mile and a half, but he can still be effective at a mile and eighth."
The Jim Dandy is an acknowledged stepping stone to the Grade 1 Travers Stakes later in the season and also features Global Campaign, who was ruled out of the Triple Crown with an injury but returned with a Grade 3 win at Belmont.

Saturday in the US is all about speed with two Grade 1 sprints and the highlight is at Saratoga with the clash between last year's winner Imperial Hint and Mitole, who has won his last seven races, in the Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap.
Imperial Hint has the chance to emulate Cognizant, who won the first two runnings of the Vanderbilt in 1985 and 1986, with back-to-back success on his return to action after running on World Cup night in Dubai when he was third in the Golden Shaheen.
The six-year-old strolled home in the Saratoga race last year under Javier Castellano before adding a Grade 1 at Belmont and then finishing third in the Breeders' Cup Sprint at Churchill Downs.
Mitole's star is rising as he bids to win a third Grade 1 on the spin in his winning streak which began on May 4 at Churchill Downs and give his trainer Steve Asmussen a third win in the feature sprint which is being run for the 35th time.
"He's been training impressively all year and hopefully it continues," Asmussen said.
Jockey Ricardo Santana, who has steered Mitole to all eight of his career victories, has the advantage of the inside draw in stall one.
