James Reveley hails 'perfect season' as he is crowned French champion jockey

James Reveley was able to look back on a "fairly faultless" season after being crowned France's champion jump jockey for the third time.

Reveley celebrated another Cravache d'Or with a double at Pau on the last day of 2022, his total of 95 winners seeing him home by 13 from Clement Lefebvre to add to his previous titles in 2021 and 2016.

Reveley enjoyed an outstanding final two months of the year, racking up Grade 1 wins on Tom and Noel George's exciting Il Est Francais, as well as St Donats and Gessy Raiselle, along with a big-race double on Gran Diose for Louisa Carberry.
