Godolphin step in for Ascot hopeful Jimmy Two Times

Andre Fabre: frustrating 2016 with his Frankels but optimistic about this year's prospects
Andre Fabre has stepped Jimmy Two Times up to a mile this season

Jimmy Two Times has been added to the Godolphin roster after the Group 3-winning son of Kendargent was purchased privately from Haras de Saint-Pair.

Jimmy Two Times was campaigned largely at distances short of a mile last season, finishing fourth to Limato in the 7f Prix de la Foret and third in the Prix Maurice de Gheest over an extended six furlongs.

But he proved his stamina for the mile in exciting fashion when dominating a smart field in the Prix Edmond Blanc at the beginning of the month and he has been given an entry in the Queen Anne Stakes.

"Godolphin have purchased Jimmy Two Times," said representative Lisa-Jane Graffard.

"He will stay in training with Andre and looks an exciting prospect for the major mile races this season. He is likely to have his first start for Godolphin in the Prix du Muguet at Saint-Cloud on Monday."

Godolphin recently bought another Kendargent colt from within the Fabre yard, Soleil Marin, who made an instant impact when scoring in the Prix Noailles at Chantilly last Sunday.

Crispin de Moubray secured Jimmy Two Times on behalf of Saint-Pair for €85,000 at the Arqana October Yearling sale in 2014.
