There may be some big names missing from the French hurdling scene at present but jockey Morgan Regairaz was in no doubt about what he and Galop Marin had just achieved after running their rivals into the Auteuil ground.
"He is a real Group 1 horse," said Regairaz, who was celebrating his first success at the highest level. "He is a horse you mustn't try and restrain and I just let him gallop in his own rhythm. He is just so good when you let him do that."
