East team look westward as Ryan hears call of the Breeders' Cup
Less than a fortnight after making a winning debut at Hamilton, East posted an impressive success on Friday in the Group 3 Prix Thomas Byron at Saint-Cloud, leaving trainer Kevin Ryan with no hesitation as to where her next run would be.
"She will go to the Breeders' Cup for the Juvenile Fillies Turf, which is exciting," said Ryan, who trains East for Rebecca Hillen.
Having briefly been trapped behind horses when favourite Ecolo was rushed up on her outside, the daughter of Frankel soon found her rhythm when pulled to the outside by Stephane Pasquier and pushed clear for a two-and-a-half-length victory.
"She is a very good filly and very professional," the trainer added. "She got shuffled back at a vital stage but Stephane didn't panic. She quickened up lovely and won under hands and heels. For me she was very impressive.
"It was a quick turnaround but she has a great constitution and she came out of the Hamilton race well. It's always a little bit of a worry but she is very laid-back and has a big heart.
"She has everything you would want in a filly. She has a big engine and a great attitude so we were pretty confident in running her again."
There were memories of a famous success from nearly 20 years ago after the Listed Prix Dahlia, where by Yutaka Take teamed up with old ally John Hammond to score with Nisreen.
Hammond was instrumental in Take's first trips to France and the pair combined for Prix de l'Abbaye success with Imperial Beauty in 2001.
Take timed his run perfectly on Team Valor's lightly-raced daughter of Raven's Pass, taking the lead inside the furlong pole and resisting the late thrust of Haggle.
