As British raiders plot their assault on the Melbourne Cup in only a few weeks' time, the Charlie Appleby-trained Scottish will be out to land an early Spring Carnival blow for the visiting team in Saturday's Caulfield Cup.
The A$1,750,000 first prize is certainly incentive enough but claiming one of the most prestigious races in the international calendar would mean an awful lot more than money for the Godolphin team.
