Inquiry into O'Brien's Killarney fall to be held on Monday evening
The Turf Club inquiry into the incident at Killarney on July 18 in which Ana O'Brien suffered serious injuries in a fall will be held at Turf Club headquarters on the Curragh at 6pm Monday.
O'Brien suffered fractured vertebrae in her neck and back and also facial fractures and has not ridden since. She plans to resume next year.
The Turf Club investigation into an incident at Tipperary on September 26 when the filly Sarah Ash Callum appeared to be struck on the face in the parade ring before the horses were mounted for a 5f handicap will also be dealt with on Monday.
Sarah Ash Callum finished fourth in the race and her trainer Paddy Meany, and Eoghan Norris, who was leading the filly at the time, were interviewed by the Tipperary stewards who referred the matter on to the Turf Club.
