It is an achievement in itself to guide any racehorse to his 100th start but not many trainers can say they get to do so with a runner the handicapper believes is in career-defining form.

A win in lifetime start number 98 at Brighton last month earned Baltic Prince a mark of 77 before he followed up with a decent third-placed effort at Chester under Elisha Whittington, who again gets the call from trainer Tony Carroll.
