Apprentice Patrick O'Donnell is facing a second operation in hospital after suffering serious injuries in an accident on Ralph Beckett's gallops.

His father Pat revealed yesterday: "It happened on Friday morning but thankfully they got there very quickly and he was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital.

"He has had intestinal surgery and they hope to operate on his broken pelvis tomorrow morning."
