De Bromhead aims Identity Thief at Punchestown prize

Henry de Bromhead on Wednesday confirmed Identity Thief and Ordinary World on course to run in the Grade 2 Ryans Cleaning Craddockstown Chase over 2m at Punchestown on Sunday.

Identity Thief, an 8-1 shot for the Racing Post Arkle at Cheltenham in March, scored by 14 lengths over Sunday's course and distance on his debut over fences last month, while Ordinary World was a four-length winner on his chasing debut at Fairyhouse.

"The plan is for both horses to run in the Craddockstown. Both of them are in good form," De Bromhead said.

Identity Thief achieved his biggest win over hurdles in the StanJames.com Fighting Fifth at Newcastle a year ago and De Bromhead is aiming Petit Mouchoir, twice placed at Grade 1 level as a novice last season, at the same Grade 1 event on Saturday week.

Also heading for the Fighting Fifth is seven-time hurdles winner Hidden Cyclone. Of the versatile 11-year-old, trainer Shark Hanlon said: "The plan is to go to Newcastle. He's in good form and deserves to take his chance."
