'I think you'll see an improved performance' - Homeless Songs set for Newmarket
The Classic-winning filly Homeless Songs is set to contest the Royal Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday (2.42) rather than the Prix de la Foret at Longchamp 24 hours later.
Dermot Weld, who will be bidding to win the Group 1 for the second time following the victory of Dress To Thrill under Pat Smullen 20 years ago, has yet to make a final decision on her weekend engagement but is leaning towards Newmarket.
Weld told the Racing Post: "We will make up our minds for certain in the morning [Thursday] but my slight preference is for Newmarket at the moment. She's in great form and we're looking at the Newmarket race for her."
