Satisfied, smiling and sitting back revelling in the replays. It is the morning after the night before and Charles Byrnes is reliving his uncanny impression of Barney Curley.

Three horses, who had been beaten a combined 123 lengths on their most recent runs, hit the bookmakers where it hurts at Roscommon on Tuesday night and the man who masterminded it all is watching the races again. It makes for less stressful viewing this time.

“I didn't do much this morning, I took it easy," says Byrnes. "Would you believe I'm just sitting back and looking at the races again here. I have Top Of The Town's race paused at the moment."
