Kilkenny hurling manager Brian Cody will present the trophies at this year’s Godolphin stud and stable staff awards in the Newpark Hotel, County Kilkenny on Tuesday, May 9.

Cody is a legendary figure in Kilkenny hurling and has been manager of the team since 1999, winning 11 All Ireland titles along the way.

He will join the master of ceremonies Richard Forristal, editor of the Racing Post in Ireland, to present the prizes on the night.

Cody said: “I’m acutely aware of how important backroom staff are to all areas of sport and business. Kilkenny’s backroom team have been integral in our senior team’s success and continue to play a vital role.

“The same can be said for those working behind the scenes in racing – their hard work, dedication in all weather and unique horsemanship skills has significantly contributed to many Irish racing success stories at home and abroad.

"I’m really looking forward to meeting all the finalists.”

There are ten categories in which total prize-money of €80,000, along with specially commissioned trophies, will be up for grabs for winners on the night.
