Nicky Henderson is following the formula that won Buzz the Cesarewitch as he plots a follow-up with big-race fancy Ahorsewithnoname 12 months on.
The six-time champion jumps trainer believes the seven-year-old has just the right profile for Newmarket's £200,000 handicap next month after a second at the Cheltenham Festival was backed up by two wins on the Flat.
Quick ground ensured Ahorsewithnoname missed the Ascot Stakes at the royal meeting in June, with Henderson giving the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle runner-up, a winner at Newbury and York in the spring, a midsummer break with the Newmarket contest in mind.
