History boy: why Wicklow Brave's achievements stand out

Wicklow Brave proved himself one of the most versatile horses in racing history by winning a Classic on the Flat, a hurdle race at the Cheltenham Festival and a Graded race over fences.

He achieved that treble in the Irish St Leger in 2016, the County Hurdle in 2015, and a Grade 3 novice chase at Galway in August this year.

Among the few horses who can be compared to him is West Indies, the only Classic winner to triumph over the Grand National fences.
