Sorry can sometimes be the hardest word – just ask former jockey Robert ‘Choc’ Thornton.

In the aftermath of the Altior non-runner storm, Thornton came to blows with journalist Lydia Hislop over what he perceived to be her desire to cause additional aggravation.

Referred to as a ‘touchline aggressor’ in a subsequent blog by Hislop, Thornton first sought clarification over the term before responding on Twitter: “Please forgive me for my apparent aggressive behaviour. I will do my best to curb it in the future.”
