High-class fare on the cards at Sandown

Sandown stages the UK leg of the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship Series today, which pits professional and amateur female riders from various nations against each other.

The £22,000 Purebred Arabian handicap over a mile is the first race at Sandown at 1.45pm, and Britain's representative is Anna Wallace. She partners Synergy, who lost her maiden status at Hereford two weeks ago.

The three professional jockeys in the ten-strong field are Laura Cheshire, from Australia, who rides Noble Athlete, Nanako Fujita, from Japan, who partners Ultimate Force, and Yuna Na, from South Korea, who is aboard Elyassaat.
