'He's got a favourite's chance' - Burrows hoping Minzaal can hit Group 1 target
Owen Burrows hopes it will be fifth time lucky for Minzaal at the top level when he lines up in the Group 1 Betfair Sprint Cup (3.30) on Saturday and bids to extend the trainer's remarkable run of form.
The four-year-old has hit the frame three times in Group 1s during the last three seasons, most recently when second to impressive Nunthorpe winner Highfield Princess in the Prix Maurice de Gheest.
"We've been very pleased with him since Deauville," said Burrows. "I never like to be too bullish but he's got a favourite's chance and I'm looking forward to trying to finally get his head in front in a Group 1.
