'He'll have a few entries' - Mick Winters eyes festival for Chatham Street Lad
Mick Winters enjoyed a day he'll never forget at Cheltenham on Saturday but is relishing the chance to do it all again in the new year, with the popular trainer excited to see how his runaway Caspian Caviar Gold Cup hero Chatham Street Lad fares when competing off his new handicap mark.
Winters was confident in the lead-up to last weekend's 15-length demolition job and said the victory had been well received by locals at his Kanturk base.
"The local people all had a few bob on and it's great they have made a few pounds," said the eccentric Cork trainer, who is restricting his movements since returning from the UK and is set to undergo a mandatory Covid-19 test later this week, as per Irish government guidelines.
