Ballydoyle supersub Seamie Heffernan looks set to be the prime beneficiary of Saturday's busy Group 1 schedule should Ryan Moore miss the Coolmore Matron Stakes after riding Idaho in the Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster.

The feature €1.25 million Qipco Irish Champion Stakes, in which Aidan O'Brien has six of the remaining 17 entries, is at 6.45pm, and while Moore should be able to make it to Leopardstown for that race after riding in the 3.45pm St Leger at Doncaster, the Matron is due off at 5.35pm.
