Sir Mark Prescott and PJ McDonald have welcomed the potential participation of Baaeed in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, although the experienced Newmarket trainer is more than happy to spoil the party with Alpinista.

Trained by William Haggas for Shadwell, Baaeed has a perfect ten wins from ten starts and is the world's highest-rated Flat horse.

He now could be set to appear in the Arc at Longchamp on October 2 and is a best-priced 2-1 to triumph, with Yorkshire Oaks winner Alpinista as short as 6-1.
