Going reports and market movers for today's four Flat meetings in Britain

Chelmsford: celebrating a new Listed race worth £75,000
1 of 1

It is another day for Flat fans, with four meetings taking place during the afternoon and evening

Officials at Chelmsford are entitled to feel a little aggrieved with the two valuable handicaps on their card only attracting fields of five and six runners.

But there is no shortage of star power in the saddle at the all-weather venue as Ryan Moore has six rides and Frankie Dettori is booked for just the one for John Gosden in the feature 1m2f handicap.

Ffos Las, Thirsk and Nottingham give a good geographical spread for the other three meetings today.

Final thought

Surely it can't be six of the best from Ryan Moore at Chelmsford? Bookmakers, hit recently by popular jockeys riding multiple winners on a card, will certainly be hoping that is not the case.
