Wetherby has fended off the mini beast from the east to signal the return of jump racing in Britain following two blank days.

With snow-hit Exeter already cancelled, Wetherby had to pass an inspection on Monday but it is all systems go for a card headlined by an £18,500 3m handicap hurdle (3.40).

After two jumps meetings in Ireland on Monday, Clonmel keeps the show on the road, while the all-weather action comes from Newcastle in the evening.
