France is to follow the lead of Britain in becoming the latest racing territory to launch the Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards.

The initiative was officially launched at Deauville racecourse by France Galop president Edouard de Rothschild and Diana Cooper, strategic advisor to Godolphin on charitable projects.

Addressing a distinguished assembly, including leading owners, trainers and breeders, Rothschild thanked Godolphin for highlighting the unseen work that keeps the racing industry going.
