Hugo Palmer will have another of his string run in the blue of Godolphin after it was revealed that Best Of Days had been bought privately by the operation.

The Azamour colt was deeply impressive when landing a maiden at Sandown in the colours of Gerhard Schoeningh in July under Jim Crowley and was awarded quotes of 33-1 for next year's 2,000 Guineas and Derby.

Godolphin revealed on their website that they have since purchased him and that a step up in class is next on his agenda. Either the 7f Acomb Stakes at York next week or the Listed Stonehenge Stakes over a mile at Salisbury have been nominated as potential targets.
